Video available of national / international marksmanship competitions ~ Video B-Roll includes shooters; interviews with competitors

CAMP ROBINSON MANEUVER TRAINING CENTER, Ark. – Broadcasters interested in coverage of the Winston P. Wilson national marksmanship competition (WPW) and the Armed Forces Skill at Arms Meeting (AFSAM) international marksmanship competition, conducted here April 18-28, can find video available for download http://www.dvidshub.net/unit/NGMTC.

The video includes approximately two minutes of video B-Roll along with an interview with one of the competitors, Staff Sergeant Chris Howard of the British Territorial Army.

Conducted annually, the competitions bring close to 700 people from around the world to North Little Rock. The competitions offer the opportunity for U.S. and allied nation participants to test their marksmanship skills in battle-focused competition. It also provides the opportunity for cross train on allied nations’ weapons systems. The events are designed to promote the development of basic and advanced marksmanship skills that give participants an overall combat training experience that is both real and relevant.

Although the Fordyce unit has relocated, the Guard continues to have units based in 60 communities across 
Arkansas capable of responding in support of civil authorities anywhere in the state as necessary.

you need us.”
