The Arkansas Reserve Components Emergency Relief Fund (ARRC-ERF) is dedicated to the general welfare of mobilized and deployed Arkansas Reserve Component military personnel and AR RC families of mobilized and deployed AR RC Members. The Arkansas Reserve Components Emergency Relief Fund is a non-profit association with the current financial funds provided strictly through donations. The fund is set up to include all Reserve Component entities in Arkansas. They are the Arkansas Army National Guard, the Arkansas Air National Guard, the US Air Force Reserve in Arkansas, the US Army Reserve in Arkansas, the US Naval Reserve in Arkansas, and the US Marine Corp Reserve in Arkansas.
The primary mission of the Arkansas Reserve Components Emergency Relief Fund is to provide financial assistance for the needs of RC members or family members of Arkansas reserve component soldiers, airmen, seamen, and marines during periods of long-term deployment operations due to mobilization. This assistance will normally take the form of loans and/or grants extended to the requesting individual as a personal check drawn from the ARRC-ERF account.
The Commander's Guide and Application Form for the Arkansas Reserve Component Emergency Relief Fund (ARRC-ERF) are attached. We are making Distribution Z on these procedures so that all full time personnel understand the procedures for application for assistance. I would like for members or family members to work through their leadership, Family Assistance Center or Rear Detachment. The purpose of this is one to verify circumstances of the emergency, provide direction to members if assistance is available in the local area for example a plumber has offered his services for deployed members in a local area, and finally so that if the applicant does not have email capability, military personnel can complete the application and provide it to me electronically. The ARRC-ERF Board is trying to review/approve applications electronically to meet the goal of providing a response to the applicant 24-48 hours after submission of the application with disbursement approximately 72 hours after application.
