DRS

GUARDIAN SCHOLARSHIP
FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN
APPLY BY JUNE 2015

 
Since September 11, 2001, nearly 800 Guardsmen have
made the ultimate sacrifice in support of the
Global War on Terrorism.
These heroes left behind more than 1,000 children.
Established in 2011 and underwritten by DRS Technologies, Inc.,
the DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund provides
college scholarships to the children
of National Guardsmen who have been lost in service
to our nation since 9/11.
Over the past four years, NGEF has awarded
33 scholarships to students through the
DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund.

 Interested applicants should apply between
January June 2015.

Winning art will be on display
at the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Center
at Camp Joseph T. Robinson
during April,
Month of the Military Child.

Support Our Children

The National Guard realizes that Guard Youth face a unique set of challenges and problems. The National Guard Youth Program is available to help provide the support and resources they need to help deal with separation from a parent, child care issues, difficulties with school, or any other problems. Children of all ages can be affected at any phase of military life; we have programs to help one and all.

This program serves children and youth ages 6-18 and provides opportunities for youth to develop their physical, social, emotional and cognitive abilities and to experience achievement, leadership, employment,
friendship and recognition.

ARKANSAS NATIONAL GUARD
YOUTH COUNCIL


We are excited to get the Military Youth Council up and going again. The Youth Council will consist of ten officers ages 13 to 17. All youth are encouraged to come to meetings and become part of the fun. They will be doing service projects, community awareness, and planning events for youth throughout the state while having fun doing it.
