Support Our Children
The National Guard realizes that Guard Youth face a unique set of challenges and problems. The
National Guard Youth Program is available to help provide the support and resources they need to help
deal with separation from a parent, child care issues, difficulties with school, or any other problems.
Children of all ages can be affected at any phase of military life; we have programs to help one and all.

The Month of the Military Child
Military Kids: Proud,
Ready and Resilient
The Month of the Military Child (MOMC) was first celebrated
in
April 1986. The Month of the Military Child recognizes
military children and youth for the sacrifices they make so their parents can
serve our Nation. It reinforces to military children and
youth that they play an integral role in supporting their Army Soldier.
They know firsthand that military members often leave
their homes to defend our Nation or respond to state emergencies.
America is grateful every day for what they do.
MG William D. Wofford
